SWISS upgrade option provided by 2e Systems

Summer travel is making a big comeback, and whether you’re heading to Copenhagen, Lisbon, or Miami, our client Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) will take you to your dream destination. Why not travel in style with extra space, additional services, and more comfort – the new SWISS upgrade option during the check-in process makes your trip even more enjoyable.

2e Systems has provided the latest merchandising functionality for the SWISS check-in application, which allows passengers to seamlessly select an upgrade during their check-in process. 2e Systems’ check-in solution eeDepart offers airlines the option of ancillary sales during check-in time - empowering airlines to increase revenue, enhance main services, and boost enjoyable passenger experiences.

Stefan Wellhöner, System Requirements Engineer at SWISS said: “SWISS is committed to increasing passenger satisfaction by offering new functionalities and services. It is a major aim of SWISS to make our customers’ journeys even more flexible and comfortable, and the new upgrade option provided by 2e Systems is a perfect example of how we can further improve our services.”

During check-in, passengers will receive an offer to upgrade to a higher-class compartment. The upgrade notification is seamlessly integrated into the check-in process and will be displayed on eligible flights. Travelers can then choose to upgrade to premium economy, business, or first class if available. As soon as the upgrade option is selected, the user-friendly screens will guide the traveler through the entire process. Upgraded passengers will be able to see the upgraded cabin seat map and can select an available seat. The integrated payment process in 2e Systems’ eeDepart product also supports a smooth and efficient passenger experience. Additionally, if several travelers have been booked in one booking record, the system will display the option to upgrade only a single or all passengers. The offer will also be applicable for travelers added via the additional passenger “Add Buddy'' functionality.

“We are very proud to deliver another innovative solution for SWISS. The new functionalities will help to create extra revenue and continue to make the SWISS check-in passenger experience more flexible and convenient. 2e Systems’ online check-in solution eeDepart is fast, secure, and easy to use”, commented 2e Systems’ deputy CEO and CCO Tracey Shaw. “We are striving to satisfy our airline clients' requirements by offering products that are comprehensive, adaptable, and tailored to market demand.”
