COVID-19: An update from 2e Systems

Dear 2e Systems clients, partners and friends,

As the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues making headlines around the world, we wanted to reach out to you about this situation. 

We do understand it’s hard to navigate the unknown, but as we continue to better understand how to slow the spread of COVID-19 we want to do all we can to keep our clients, partners, and employees safe. 2e Systems took early measures and since Thursday, March 05, 2020, we highly encouraged all employees to work from home. Taking the initiative and encouraging everyone to stay inside and work from home, helped us to prepare and gave us the extra time to set up stable home office workplaces for all our employees. With these preparations, we can maintain our business operations without any restrictions.

2e Systems worldwide offices are continuously working during the usual office hours and our 24/7 support helpline is active. Thus, our aim is to guarantee that clients can reach the designated contact persons at the usual times. To provide further reassurance for our clients 2e Systems’ Business Continuity Plan is available upon request from your Project Manager. 

Our top priority is to continue to provide our airline clients with excellent service and also to ensure the health and safety of our employees at all times. 

We are monitoring closely all developments, encouraging everyone to respect the science and following the government’s guidelines to make sure we all stay safe and healthy.  

As a global airline community, we must do our very best to contain and delay the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It’s times like these where we need to respond as a family, with compassion and care, to help and support each other.

Our thoughts go out to you and your loved ones during these uncertain times. Now more than ever, we can see how small the world truly is, and the importance of coming together to protect our global community.

airBaltic and 2e Systems deliver together

airBaltic and 2e Systems embarked upon a large project in 2019 to scale up and enhance airBaltic's online flight shopping and booking solution. The respective teams engaged and collaborated extensively to augment the existing online booking solution to support airBaltic's growth plans. 

A new user interface was implemented providing clients with improved priced calendar shopping alongside a yearly histogram. Flight shopping has become easier as clients can view an annual histogram with the lowest airfares across all airBaltic destinations. 

The popular low fare destination banners on the homepage have been improved to direct customers to these flight shopping enhancements. There is an extensive choice and transparency for clients to search, select and book from airBaltic's destinations and growing flight network.

2e Systems welcomes John Donohoe as Chief Operations Officer

2e Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of John Donohoe as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO). As part of the 2e Systems executive board John will play a vital role in leading the digital transformation and continue to scale operations to support the company’s global growth.

2e Systems is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The software company is now employing around 120 talented IT professionals across 7 office locations globally. 2e Systems is working closely together with their 13 major international airline clients to develop and keep improving their comprehensive range of travel tech solutions.

John brings more than 30 years of commercial aviation and customer-centric product delivery experience to 2e Systems. Most recently as Director of Project Management Office and Change Management at Star Alliance, he led enterprise project delivery and was responsible for digital transformation change management.  An expert in portfolio and project management, John regularly speaks at Strategy Execution and Project Management conferences worldwide.

LATAM Airlines partners with 2e Systems to launch passenger communication service

LATAM, Latin America’s largest airline, has selected 2e Systems to provide their new multi-channel passenger communication application to inform, advise and update travelers throughout their journey. The advanced travel software solution eePaxConnect will allow LATAM to share real-time updates with passengers, to not only manage disruption and proactively engage with their customers, but to provide exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

The 2e Systems solution eePaxConnect keeps passengers up to date, ensures they get to their gate on time and increases operational efficiency. LATAM will be able to share real-time updates with passengers in case of any itinerary change. Furthermore, the application provides an escalation management for agents. By providing relevant information direct to individual passengers before they feel the need to contact someone, airlines can reduce the effects of disruption before they even take hold.

2e Systems is proud to announce the opening of our new European Office in Cluj, Romania

Exciting things are happening at 2e Systems, and we would like to share some important news with you. Due to the consistent growth in business during the past few years, we are delighted to expand our business to a new location. We are opening a new office in Cluj, Romania. The new location will be the company’s seventh office globally, and will be led by Tudor Eliade, 2e Systems’ Software Analyst and Managing Director. The move to an additional facility will enable us to respond effectively to the growing needs of our clients and will allow us to commit to further growth and expansion, to be able to deliver fast and flexible travel tech products and services.
